This policy explains the licence granted when you purchase a digital book from The Velvet Spine.

Personal Reading Licence

Each purchase grants one person a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to read the purchased book online through the authenticated website.

No Ownership Transfer

The licence does not grant ownership of the book's copyright. You are purchasing access rights, not the content itself.

Account Sharing Prohibited

Sharing credentials or allowing unauthorized people to use a paid account is prohibited. We may detect suspicious access patterns and restrict accounts to protect the service and our authors.

Prohibited Conduct

• Automated scraping of protected content
• Circumventing access controls
• Redistribution of book content
• Payment manipulation
• Exploiting security vulnerabilities

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated, if a payment is reversed, or if necessary to protect the platform, authors, or other readers. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and any available remedy.
